Thoracic Outlet Syndrome in the Artist & Crafter

August 22, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

In April 2013 I was diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome (TOS). But I didn't know then what it was they were diagnosing me with. Several years before... I began seeing an Occupational Therapist in 2004, due to numbness in my hands. The OT believed I had carpal tunnel from my time in college while getting … Continue reading Thoracic Outlet Syndrome in the Artist & Crafter

Stenciling on Canvas

July 25, 2017August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

First of all, stenciling is a weird word. So anyway, I have been having fun making canvases colorful. I love color! Some of the canvases look amazing on their own, but I wanted to add a little something extra to others. That's when I started adding some lettering to the canvases.     The good … Continue reading Stenciling on Canvas

January 4, 2017August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

Last week I shared my word of the year and how I plan to keep up with it throughout the year. One of the ways I plan to do so is by writing a prompt or a goal at the beginning of each week in my planner for the entire year. I have 3 different … Continue reading 52 Weeks of Creative Goals & Prompts

Living Intentionally

December 28, 2016August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ 4 Comments

I have big hopes for 2017, and I know that if I want to achieve it then I'm going to have to do something about it. Success doesn't come from sitting on your butt and wishing something will happen. You have to do something...

Be A Daffodil

August 24, 2016August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

I took this photo years ago when I lived in Washington state. I had gone for a quick walk and I came past a parking lot that was under construction. It looked like they had pulled up the concrete to lay down new. That's when I saw this image. Over in the corner of the … Continue reading Be A Daffodil

Passion Takes Risks

April 25, 2016August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

This quote perfectly captures why I keep going and why I've done some of the things I've done. When you're passionate about something, you're more willing to take risks because it's something you believe in. I've done a few things that many would deem crazy or just plain stupid, but I did them because I … Continue reading Passion Takes Risks

My Favorite Websites for Business Tips, Resources, and Tools

March 25, 2016August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

Running a handmade business is hard work. There's a lot more to it than just making stuff. In a world run by technology and social media, a handmade artist needs to be well versed in online marketing and social media sharing. The first year or so of having my shop open, I didn't know these … Continue reading My Favorite Websites for Business Tips, Resources, and Tools

I turn away for just a second and then find Einstein wearing one of my Pokeball hats. 🤦‍♀️ Is anyone else bracing for a winter storm? I've got my bread, milk, and eggs so we're good. 😆 Got my yarn too. That's most important. 🤣
What do y'all do for stocking stuffers for kids? I need some ideas. I need... smaller ideas. Lol I knit our stockings a few years ago and either I need to get smaller stocking stuffers or I need to make bigger stockings. 😆 . These little buddies would be good for stocking stuffers but my kids would know they're from me and not from Santa if they found them in their stockings. Lol Being Santa is hard work! 😂
We got a live one! Just pulled this one out for a mini photoshoot. What do ya think - do you think he's photogenic? 😆
Do you have your tree decorated yet? I've had mine up and ready for a couple of weeks now but just added my handmade Tardis ornament. The Christmas episodes are some of my favorites. I have 2 of these ornaments up for grabs! Order now and I'll ship tomorrow so you can enjoy it for a bit.
Make the other Santas jealous! 🎅 Now on Etsy! I have 2 of these SUPER soft hats with luxurious faux fur poms. ❤ What are you asking of Santa this year?
I've not been good lately at taking pictures. Of anything. I didn't take this one either. Lol My daughter took this one. In the rain. This is a big thing that happened in my life just a couple of weeks ago. Out of necessity, I had to get a different vehicle. This is only the 5th vehicle I have had in my 22 years of driving and the first vehicle I have bought on my own. A little bit nerve-wracking. Lol But I am so excited to have the space for my crafty stuff for events. I have my first event with my new-to-me Jeep this Saturday and I'm excited! Even more exciting, this Jeep has heat! Super important in Illinois this time of year. I couldn't use the heat in my car. And the Jeep even has heated seats and remote start! Talk about luxuries! I feel spoiled! And very blessed and grateful. It's God that brought this together because I kept hitting walls while trying to get a vehicle. Even got turned down the first time for this one. Apparently you get punished for not borrowing much money on your own. 🤦‍♀️ But I asked them to try again a different way and it worked! 🙌 This has been a lot of work, sweat, and tears (and years) in the making. If you're struggling, don't give up. Just keep your head up and keep going. And if you are struggling and need someone to talk to, send me a message. I've been through a crap ton of stuff so I can probably empathize, or at least sympathize. No one should have to struggle alone. ❤

JESUS is My Resolution

JESUS is My Resolution

It has been a couple months since I sat down to write. It’s a busy time of year, after all. There was one subject that I started to write about several times but chickened out every time. Maybe some day… My holiday season has been as usual, I suppose. Lots of things to do, traditions […]

Saying Goodbye

Saying Goodbye

I’ve said several goodbyes throughout my 30-some years of existence. I’ve said goodbye to friends after graduating high school. Goodbye to family as I leave for college. I’ve said goodbye to friends after graduating college. Goodbye as I’ve moved several times throughout three states. And I’ve said goodbye to loved ones after they have taken […]

Are You Enough?

Are You Enough?

YOU ARE ENOUGH. This short and sweet saying floats around pretty frequently, assuring us that we are enough. Many times we feel we’re not good enough, pretty enough, strong enough, smart enough…     We like the saying “You are enough” because it’s like a pat on the back or a warm hug that reassures […]
