If You Give A Mom A Coffee

August 23, 2016August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

I have been drinking insane, and possibly illegal, amounts of coffee lately. I am drinking it all day long. I can attribute it to my ever-growing to do list or to my binge-watching of Gilmore Girls (Lorelai and I are soul sisters). Whichever the case, I have been drinking a lot of it. Monday night, … Continue reading If You Give A Mom A Coffee

It's March, and Spring is just around the corner! I am ready for budding flowers and trees, Spring weather, thunderstorms, walks in the mornings, and all the other wonderful things that come with Spring... except the allergies. Gotta take the good with the bad, I suppose. I'm already brainstorming what I'll do this Spring. I … Continue reading 30 Fun Things to Do This Spring!

Welfare: The Stigma & Stereotype

July 20, 2015August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

Let me preface this by saying this will not be easy for me to write or share, but I feel I must. These thoughts have been weighing on my heart and show no signs of letting up anytime soon. This is also a lengthy post, but I hope you will take the time to thoughtfully … Continue reading Welfare: The Stigma & Stereotype

Screaming at Inanimate Objects

June 4, 2015August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

There are some days that are great, and there are other days that I want to close myself in my daughter's secret hideout in her closet.   Today is one of those days... Today is a day that I'm screaming at my Irish Breakfast Tea because it isn't coffee, because I'm out of coffee. Screaming … Continue reading Screaming at Inanimate Objects

A Miracle Restless Legs Syndrome Cure!

May 18, 2015August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

Photo Source Okay, so it may not be a cure, but it sure does help. I'm sure you clicked on this, saw the photo, and wondered what in the world soap has to do with Restless Legs Syndrome. I had wondered the same thing, so don't feel too nutty. While I was pregnant this … Continue reading A Miracle Restless Legs Syndrome Cure!

10 Reasons I Know I’m Not the Best Mom Ever

May 9, 2015August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ 1 Comment

My 8-year-old daughter sometimes tells me that I'm "the best mom ever". She also sometimes tells me I'm "the worst mom ever". That's usually said when she doesn't get her way. I know I'm not the worst mom ever, but I'm also not the best mom ever. Tomorrow is Mother's Day. My … Continue reading 10 Reasons I Know I’m Not the Best Mom Ever

Face Painting Supply List

April 22, 2015August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

It's getting to be the season for festivals and fairs, and one thing the kids love about these events is... Face Painting!!!! I'm not quite sure what it is, but kids LOVE getting their faces painted. Maybe it's the color or the design, or maybe it's just because it's one way parents don't mind … Continue reading Face Painting Supply List

10 Wishes I Have for My Children

March 18, 2015August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ Leave a comment

My girls mean the world to me, and just like many parents, I have things I desire for them. I know I'm not the perfect parent, but I love my girls and they know it. If I were to narrow it down to 10 wishes I have for my girls, they would be... 1. That … Continue reading 10 Wishes I Have for My Children

5 Ways to Be Present with Your Children

March 12, 2015August 5, 2017 ~ Casey Carroll ~ 2 Comments

My goal for this year is to be more present. I felt like my life was becoming too distracted and time was passing without me really being part of it, so I decided my goal this year would be to become more "in the moment" - physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally. I've been thinking of … Continue reading 5 Ways to Be Present with Your Children

I turn away for just a second and then find Einstein wearing one of my Pokeball hats. 🤦‍♀️ Is anyone else bracing for a winter storm? I've got my bread, milk, and eggs so we're good. 😆 Got my yarn too. That's most important. 🤣
What do y'all do for stocking stuffers for kids? I need some ideas. I need... smaller ideas. Lol I knit our stockings a few years ago and either I need to get smaller stocking stuffers or I need to make bigger stockings. 😆 . These little buddies would be good for stocking stuffers but my kids would know they're from me and not from Santa if they found them in their stockings. Lol Being Santa is hard work! 😂
We got a live one! Just pulled this one out for a mini photoshoot. What do ya think - do you think he's photogenic? 😆
Do you have your tree decorated yet? I've had mine up and ready for a couple of weeks now but just added my handmade Tardis ornament. The Christmas episodes are some of my favorites. I have 2 of these ornaments up for grabs! Order now and I'll ship tomorrow so you can enjoy it for a bit.
Make the other Santas jealous! 🎅 Now on Etsy! I have 2 of these SUPER soft hats with luxurious faux fur poms. ❤ What are you asking of Santa this year?
I've not been good lately at taking pictures. Of anything. I didn't take this one either. Lol My daughter took this one. In the rain. This is a big thing that happened in my life just a couple of weeks ago. Out of necessity, I had to get a different vehicle. This is only the 5th vehicle I have had in my 22 years of driving and the first vehicle I have bought on my own. A little bit nerve-wracking. Lol But I am so excited to have the space for my crafty stuff for events. I have my first event with my new-to-me Jeep this Saturday and I'm excited! Even more exciting, this Jeep has heat! Super important in Illinois this time of year. I couldn't use the heat in my car. And the Jeep even has heated seats and remote start! Talk about luxuries! I feel spoiled! And very blessed and grateful. It's God that brought this together because I kept hitting walls while trying to get a vehicle. Even got turned down the first time for this one. Apparently you get punished for not borrowing much money on your own. 🤦‍♀️ But I asked them to try again a different way and it worked! 🙌 This has been a lot of work, sweat, and tears (and years) in the making. If you're struggling, don't give up. Just keep your head up and keep going. And if you are struggling and need someone to talk to, send me a message. I've been through a crap ton of stuff so I can probably empathize, or at least sympathize. No one should have to struggle alone. ❤

JESUS is My Resolution

JESUS is My Resolution

It has been a couple months since I sat down to write. It’s a busy time of year, after all. There was one subject that I started to write about several times but chickened out every time. Maybe some day… My holiday season has been as usual, I suppose. Lots of things to do, traditions […]

Saying Goodbye

Saying Goodbye

I’ve said several goodbyes throughout my 30-some years of existence. I’ve said goodbye to friends after graduating high school. Goodbye to family as I leave for college. I’ve said goodbye to friends after graduating college. Goodbye as I’ve moved several times throughout three states. And I’ve said goodbye to loved ones after they have taken […]

Are You Enough?

Are You Enough?

YOU ARE ENOUGH. This short and sweet saying floats around pretty frequently, assuring us that we are enough. Many times we feel we’re not good enough, pretty enough, strong enough, smart enough…     We like the saying “You are enough” because it’s like a pat on the back or a warm hug that reassures […]
