Be A Daffodil

20080421_0014

I took this photo years ago when I lived in Washington state. I had gone for a quick walk and I came past a parking lot that was under construction. It looked like they had pulled up the concrete to lay down new. That’s when I saw this image. Over in the corner of the lot where they were piling the broken pavement was a daffodil growing out of the rubble. What’s really surprising is that there weren’t any other daffodils growing nearby. Daffodils are one of my favorite flowers. They are known to just spring up anywhere and show their bright, colorful faces. They bloom in adverse conditions and bring sunshine where there is none.

Be a daffodil.
