Let me just tell you how amazing this stuff is! I got to try out 4 lovely colors of this thread: Lichen, Hollyberry, Ash, and Sagebrush. When I opened the box, I was floored at how vibrant, rich, and lustrous this thread was. Absolutely stunning!!
I could hardly wait to play with it! Allyson from Holla Knits wanted me to work up some of my earrings and rings for her with the Curio, so I got right on that! These are a few of the photos Allyson sent me from the photoshoot with the new pieces I sent her.
Is that lovely or what?!
Curio is a brand new, cotton crochet thread by Knit Picks. Up until now, I have been an Aunt Lydia’s Thread girl, but now I’m hooked on Curio! They don’t have your traditional, basic colors. These are colors I have never seen in a thread before. They are gorgeous! This thread would be beautiful for crocheted jewelry, doilies & coasters, knitted lacework… So many possibilities!! And it’s so shiny!!!
I think it’s just a teensy bit thicker than Aunt Lydia’s, but it shouldn’t change your pattern significantly. Because of the lovely sheen of this thread, the stitches are showcased beautifully. I just can’t get over how rich the colors are! You really just need to try it for yourself!
Here’s the fun part…
You get to!! For FREE!!
Knit Picks is giving one lucky winner 2 – did you see that? TWO!! – balls of Curio to work up my pattern with!!! Oh!! AND that lucky winner will also receive my pattern for free!
To enter, leave a comment saying what you would love to make with this new thread! For extra entries, tweet the giveaway, share on Facebook, “like” my Facebook page, etc. It’s all in the box. I use Rafflecopter because it does the work for me and makes it all easier to keep track of.

Good luck!!!

I love making doilies – especially in non-white colors. Cornmeal and Bluebell would be fun. Thanks for the giveaway!

It really is! I recently put one of every color in my KP cart because, why not? The total was less than expected so once I move and have more space, I might just buy it all.

I would love to make your ring! It's amazing. I also have a very ordinary skirt that could use some lace trim…I think the Tea Rose is the perfect color. Maybe with a touch of Victorian.
